Update on the horizon... Saturday, July 30, 2022 I haven't even updated the look of this site in forever, yet I still care enough to keep it online. Hmm! Seeing as technology has been changing dramatically and especially how people use that tech, I'm thinking I need to rehaul this site of mine. Looking at it on a cell phone is a bit... scary. The formatting does not come through too well. Still works alright on modern browsers, so at least that aspect has withstood the rigors of time. Heh. Expect to see a redesign of my gallery site here sometime. Hopefully sooner than later! Ligerish absence? Monday, April 14, 2014 Yeah, I realize I haven't updated in forever. Furry has kind of taken a back seat to work, gaming, life, etc... That sort of thing. I've been musing about getting back into doing some artwork at some time, but it's a matter of getting around to it. Here's hoping it happens! In the meantime, I'm cleaning up the site and getting the links and such sorted out. So much has changed over the years! Canadian furry web ring dismantled! Saturday, September 13, 2008 Well, due to lack of interest from the community, largely due to the fact that hardly anyone even knows what a web ring is anymore, The Canadian Furry Web Ring is now shut down. It hasn't seen much use for the past longest while and the ring provider has done a poor job of helping keep it easy or fun for administrators to use the service... so this ring is now closed due to lack of interest and need for it. It served it's purpose well during an era when web rings were useful, but that time has come and gone... so we bid adieu to one of the longest running services that I've had the pleasure of maintaining. :X) big cat chit-chat too quiet... Sunday, April 27, 2008 Seeing as this forum became pretty much unused except by spambots trying to get contact info, I've decided to do away with it. When you spend more time blocking bots out of your forum than you do by chatting with it's users, it's no longer worthwhile. And really... nobody posted there in ages, as it is. It was great while it lasted, but eh... all good things come to an end. Thank you for the fun times had, to those that stopped on by. :X) furry.ca exchange goes bye-bye! Wednesday, May 2, 2007 Just a quick note that due to lack of user interest, I've discontinued the furry.ca exchange, which was a banner exchange for Canadian furries that had their own sites and whatnot available on the web. I'm of the impression that banner exchanges are no longer considered fashionable for web sites since so few of them excel, these days. Perhaps someday soon, the Canadian furry web ring will be discontinued as well. Time will tell! big cat chit-chat gets a facelift! Thursday, July 27, 2006 Yeah, I've finally updated the look of big cat chit-chat! It's about time, eh? ;X) I got rid of the beiges and browns, since I had bored of those, and designed the new skin using greyscale instead. This incorporates it a lot better to the rest of my site here, of course. Enjoy! Stats watching! Sunday, January 29, 2006 Am trying out a new stats monitoring thing that gets built into each page of the site. Am curious to see how this one turns out. The server has some stats built-in, however it's good to see what other services can do for one's stats-watching habits. ;X) A bit more... deconstruction? Friday, December 30, 2005 I've come to the realisation that many furry web rings have outlived their usefulness... and so most have been removed from my site. In doing so, I've let myself do a bit of a tweak to the site layout. I would imagine that you've noticed now... Site simplification? Wednesday, August 17, 2005 In order to minimise the number of web site that I'm trying to maintain, I've pared back a few things. Firstly, I've gotten rid of The Ligers Den, which had some information regarding my most favorite of big cats. That information has been brought into the StripeyManey site itself and formatted to fit the design, so it's not entirely gone. Sometime this fall, I should be handing off the Toronto furry home page to furs that still live in that area, so I've copied the furry definitions that I wrote for that site and imported them into the StripeyManey design. You can find both of these updates throughout my site here if you take a quick look around. The liger info is perhaps a slight bit more hidden though. Heheh. Enjoy! :XD New web design work! Saturday, August 6, 2005 I've recently completed a couple of new web site designs for your perusal! The Shkagamik-Kwe Health Centre's new web site was designed by yours truly! This site represents the native health centre located in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. It's a vast improvement over the previous design that someone else had done for them, so there were smiles all around. :X) Another site I've recently created is mishibizhii, which is now my web design and host re-selling sales site. The word mishibizhii is Ojibwe for lion. That's actually further explained on the site itself, in the "about" section... so check it out! Perhaps this'll drum up some extra business for me, plus some extra cash, of course. That'd be a great bonus. Heheh... :X) A brand spanking new year! Sunday, January 2, 2005 Just wishing you all a Happy New Year! With some luck, I'll get a chance to do some artwork of my own at some point this year. Wish me luck! ;X) The liger's got some merch again! Saturday, April 3, 2004 As you may recall, I once had merchandise available online. Well... Here it is again, now offered through Zazzle! If you'd like to see what I've got available, check it all out at my contributor gallery. As time permits, I'll add more and more designs into this gallery. Currently, I've got mostly just apparel that's available, but I may also add cards and other such print goodies. :X) Enjoy! :XD Relocated liger! Saturday, March 13, 2004 Yowza... I haven't updated the liger-babble in a while! Anyways... I just want to let my fans know that I've moved in with my loving mate and her two children about a month and a half ago! New city! New love! New life! :X) I've been becoming more and more inspired to draw once again, but with my art materials still remaining at my parents' home, it may be a while before I actually get anything off the ground. In the meantime, I do at least have my web sites and such to work on. :X) New drawing! Rowr! Sunday, July 13, 2003 I've got a new drawing inked and completed tonight. It's the commission I've had to do in a friend's sketchbook. It's finally done! :XP Anyways... Check out yangu-br-01.jpg if you wish to see the final piece of work there. I thin it turned out decently and am pleased with it. :X) Enjoy! Paring back? Wednesday, June 4, 2003 For the time being, I'm discontinuing my online shops. I've got some issues with CafeShops' changes that they're making to their policies, basically. I'll be sure to let you all know when I've got new shops set up elsewhere. :X) New section to my site! Friday, May 2, 2003 I've built a new section of my web site, which you can find from the main page as well. It's a page at which I'll be listing the various shops I run online, offering bits of merchandise to my fans and any visitor to this site. Check it out! Intend on adding to it every so often. Also note that I've got a new shop there, offering shirts with one of my lion photos proudly printed on the front. :X) New photos online! Tuesday, April 15, 2003 On a recent trip to the Killman Zoo, near Caledonia, Ontario, Canada, I've taken a bunch of new photos of the zoo's residents and and included them on my site for sharing! Check 'em out! A few turned out especially good, if I may dare to say so myself. ;X) *ROAR!* Monday, March 24, 2003 I've opened up yet another CafeShop showing off some of my artwork! This new one is called *ROAR!*, featuring some of my artwork of Simba, plus a couple items with Rochester on them. Check it out! Buy stuff! :XD I ♥ ligers! (As if you didn't already know...) ;X) Wednesday, March 19, 2003 I've opened up a new CafeShop featuring some of my artwork on them. It's called I ♥ ligers!, and you can find a bit of my artwork on this set. Check it out. ;X) A couple days ago, I made a shop called the furry.ca shop at which I sell furry.ca shirts and related paraphernalia. Check it out if you're interested in Canadian furry fandom stuff. :X) Buy stuff! Enjoy it! Make me some money! :XD Another drawing of me, by a kittyfriend! Sunday, February 28, 2003 EbonyTigress has drawn me again, this time getting a nice little scritchy from her own kitty self. Feel free to check out BenLigerEgress.jpg sometime and let me know what you think (if you wish). :X) Enjoy! Got some new artwork in progress! Sunday, February 9, 2003 Yes, you've read me right. I've got a new piece in the works. ;X) yangu-br-01-pencil.jpg is currently in the pencil/rough stage, and I expect to have it inked up sometime soon. It's the character of a friend's, drawn in their sketch book as my end of a trade. I've been dawdling a fair bit with this one, having waited over a year to actually think of what to draw and get it set to paper... but I'm happy with the results so far. We shall see how she looks once I've inked her up and completed some more details in the composition. (She needs some whiskers, I know!) ;X) Brand new guest artwork by Scheriff, the lion! Friday, January 17, 2003 A new piece is in the guest artwork section of my site here. It's a new drawing by Scheriff, a Czech lion friend of mine. Thanks for the great pic, kitty! :X) As pretty as ever! Friday, January 17, 2003 I've built a new little site to add to my domain here. It's called the liger's face and is simply an experimental design I felt like doing, which shares some personal information and some related links of interest. Check out the site, have a chuckle, or whatever... Enjoy! :X) New guest artwork by Ebony Tigress! Saturday, January 4, 2003 New to the guest artwork section of my site is a pic of myself as drawn by Ebony Tigress. Be sure to check it out! :X) Thanks for the cute pic, Ebony. I still owe ya. :XP Happy New Year! Monday, December 30, 2002 Well, all I can say is that it's been an interesting year... I've only done the one drawing (and painting) this year, of Senajit, but I've been concentrating a bit more in creating web site designs and whatnot, especially after being busy for a while with Ikonboard development and support. With a bit of luck, the new year will have a better job in store for me, and I'll get more artwork done again. We shall see how that all goes, eh? ;X) In the meantime, have yourself a great holiday, and good luck to you all in 2003! :X) I've taken the LiveJournal plunge! Wednesday, December 11, 2002 Yes, you've read me correctly. Pray for my soul! :XD I've gone and gotten myself an LJ, which you can find right... here! It'll be mostly filled with random stuff that I usually won't want to post to any of my bulletin boards or my own site here, so if you'd like to see some ranting, dirt, and general lameness, check out my LiveJournal entries. ;X) It's like the... grey areas that I'd rather not post elsewhere, hence the very grey colour scheme. ;X) Happy second b-day, furry.ca! Sunday, December 8, 2002 Just shouting out a quick happy b-day to one of my biggest web projects, furry.ca, which was founded two years ago as of today and has grown to include a web ring, banner exchange, IM lists, and the ever-popular bulletin board! Yeehaw! :XD It's nice to see that this project has grown so nicely over the years, and has become a popular service in aiding furs both in Canada and abroad. :X) The future of FurryIM? Sunday, November 17, 2002 One of my longest-running furry projects, FurryIM, has come to a bit of crossroads. Basically, it's been in need of an other step in it's evolution. Well, you may be comforted to know that I've found a solution that will hopefully make FurryIM a feasible project both now and in the future... With the help of the PHP skills of Nashoba, from FurNetwork, we will be rebuilding FurryIM with a dynamic database as opposed to the use of flat HTML as I have been using myself all of these years so far. With the use of PHP, we should have a simple registration system that will immediately place anyfur's information into the database and make it ready for public access and use. Hopefully, we will be able to add in some new functionality such as various ways of searching for furs in the database, perhaps based on location, species, and so forth. Anyways... Stay tuned for further information as this project continues to develop. :X) Autumn renovations? Thursday, October 24, 2002 Just been doing some work on fixing up the entry page of the site a bit and re-organising a few things here. Nothing major! I do, however, have a couple ideas I may implement on the site sometime soon. Keep your eyes peeled, as painful as that saying sounds. ;X) The ligers den... rebuilt! Friday, September 13, 2002 For anyfur that's been watching my site and the new things that develop and/or redevelop, I've just finished redesigning the ligers den in the span of an evening. It went pretty quickly, for which I'm glad. :X) Enjoy! ![]() Monday, August 19, 2002 Departure: Friday, August 16, 2002 - 10:30 AM Return: Monday, August 19, 2002 - 1:30 AM With decent traffic, the ride between the Toronto area and Ottawa seems to be about six hours. Friday evening checked in, of course. got settled Met up with friends, met some faces that were friends online. The Chocolate Social! What better treat for a first evening at a con than to enjoy some fancy chocolate and wonderful ice cream. It was a great way to break the ice. :X) Seeing as vending machines are ubiquitously expensive, Firestorm and I took a quick excursion to the Rideau Centre in order to pick up some snacks... and more importantly, some Coca-Cola! MUST HAVE CAFFEINE! :XD Saturday, August 17, 2002 I tend to attend cons in order to socialise, meet furs, chat to old friends, and share ideas. C-ACE was no exception to this, and gave me plenty of opportunity in order to enjoy it. Most of the day was spent milling about, looking around the art show and art shoppe, chatting with the staff and other attendees. It was great to get to kow them. BabyTiger, Prplhaze, and I broke for dinner that evening, and went to the Hard Rock Cafe near the hotel. The burger I had was real good. There's nothing better than sinking one's fangs into a tasty piece of meat. ;X) I managed to catch the "Best of the Web" presentation at the con. It was the only panel that I attended. I was pleased to see that furry.ca was amongst those listed. Shortly afterward, we prepared for the furry.ca room party. Shopper's Drug Mart is a savior yet again. ;X) furry.ca room party - Saturday, August 17, 2002 - ~8:00 PM to ~ 2:00 or 3:00 AM I figured it could be a cool idea to have a furry.ca room party at this con, so a few weeks before C-ACE, I passed the idea by Prplhaze and we all got the ball rolling in getting it done. In preparation, we did some trivia questions regarding both Canadian and furry things that may be of interest to the attendees, plus I had designed and output (at work) a couple of 'posters' upon which we can do a guest book of sorts, letting the attendees sign and doodle as they wish. The party went great. We kept it a 'dry' event, much to the con security staff's pleasure. That was a planned 'feature' nonetheless. I have to keep a clean and responsible reputation for furry.ca, you see. ;X) Thanks go to Prplhaze, BabyTiger, and Firestorm Six for helping make it happen. MUCH thanks go to everyone that popped by or stuck around. activities chatting, being sociable video games (GRAND THEFT AUTO!! :XD) (Thanks for the AV equipment, Jeff! :X)) Flash videos some general web addictiveness ice fishing (for Coca-Cola from the bath tub) the room party paw print poster the chocolate went real quick! :XP ;X) The PS2 was definitely a hit with the furs. The room party was sort of like a gaming and web geek party, but I believe that's to be expected, given it's host and theme. Heheh. ;X) I think I'll do one again next year. :X) Sunday, August 18, 2002 Woke up and rolled out of bed at about 10:00 AM. Got myself cleaned up and packed, then loaded up the car and did the check out process for the room. I spent most of the day taking it easy, chatting with furs in the Art Shoppe, like Loopy, Firebreath, Liontaris, Lycan, and so on. I found that I barely set foot out of the hotel except for a few quick trips, so I guess I was happy to stick around, chat, and meet people. What else is a good con for? ;X) At 5:00 PM, my curiosity got the best of me, so I sat in on the feedback session. All seemed good, with some room for improvement. That's to be expected in nearly everything you do, really. The con went great, in my opinion. They did a great job for the first year of an event like this. :X) The whole con and everybody there had a real positive vibe going for them, it seemed... except for the understandable nervousness of meeting new people much of the time. Everything was good and relaxed though, so any nervousness tended to... disappear real quick. Overall, it's a great con worth attending. I'm going back next year for sure! :X) 2002 Con attendance? Wednesday, July 17, 2002 What cons am I attending this year? Well, so far, I can confirm that I'll be attending C-ACE, which is an anthropomorphics and cartooning con done in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, on the weekend of August 16 to 18, 2002. I'll be showing up with a couple of furry friends, and it looks like I'll get a good chance to meet many other furries from this nation. We're also kicking around the idea of doing a furry.ca room party, so if you happen to be showing up at this conference, be sure to take a look around for the party. :X) See you at C-ACE! (If you're going, of course!) ;X) I'm still alive! Sunday, July 14, 2002 No, I didn't have a brush with death... yet. ;X) I've not written in here a while, due to myself getting rather busy with, well... life? As a quick update, the commission with Senajit went well. It's paid for, safely sent to him, and both he and I are pleased. :X) I am currently working at a small print and copy shop in town. It doesn't pay terribly well, but the hours are decent and it's just a five minute drive from my home. That certainly beats the hell out of wasting an hour or so of each of my days in order to get back and forth between an office in Mississauga or somesuch. :XP Artwork that's currently on deck is a sketchbook pic that's still owed to Mejeep the ferret. I'm hoping to get that finished soon so I can finally get his sketchbook back to him. It's been a while now. Heh. I guess people should know better than to lend me their sketchbooks in order to get me to draw in them. ;X) What's old is new(?) again! Tuesday, March 19, 2002 OAC-tigers-br-93.jpg is a new addition in the general artwork section of the site. It's a painting that I had done during my last year of high school, so yeah... it's a bit old now. It's still a very good piece of work, I must say. ;X) Enjoy! All a-board??? Sunday, March 17, 2002 Well, most people put up a guest book... which is a rather simple thing to administrate. Me, being the grand nutcase that I am, I put another bulletin board. Heheh. This one's hosted right here on StripeyManey, with a rather ligerish, big kittyish, furryish slant to it. *grins* Check it out! It's the BIG cat chit-chat bulletin board. For anyone that may be curious, yes it's an Ikonboard. I sorta like their layout... and this one's a newer version than the software used for the furry.ca forum. :X) Even more guest artwork! Monday, March 4, 2002 I've added in a couple brand new bits of artwork to the guest artwork section of the site here. One's a bust image done by a lionfriend of mine on Tapestries, Zeiros. The second is a third installment of Scheriff's artwork, showing he and myself getting a little bit naughty together. From the Historical/Hysterical Department: Tuesday, February 19, 2002 On this day five years ago, February 19, 1997, I had aquired the nickname and character account Simba on FurryMUCK. Following this momentous event, I had posted the following e-mail to my friends on the toronto-furry e-mail list... From: "Simba" <ben@powerwindows.ca> More guest artwork! Monday, February 4, 2002 I've added in a couple new bits of artwork to the guest artwork section of the site here. The new featured bits are another nude of me by Scheriff, and I've gotten permission from Xtro to post his artwork in here as well. Thanks, guys! :X) Guests welcomed? Thursday, January 31, 2002 I've added in a new section to the site! Woohoo! The guest artwork features the artwork of some of my artist friends. It should be growing a fair bit over the next few days as I initially build it up with the artwork that friends have done of me (or my alts) in the past few years or so. Enjoy! Senajit is finally... DONE! Thursday, January 24, 2002 My latest... err... invention! :X) Senajit-br-01.jpg, the drawing of a quadrupedal tiger friend of mine, is finally done! Woohoo! Oddly enough, the scan's background is a bit bluish looking, but I'm not going to complain. The image shown here is sorta low res, but please enjoy it all the same. :X) FurryIM? Monday, January 14, 2002 My latest... err... invention! :X) FurryIM is a site built to replace FurryICQ! Yes, it encompasses all four of the major instant messaging systems currently available on the internet! And it looks sharper, too! ;X) Check it out and enjoy the improved service! Searchin' High and Low! Wednesday, January 9, 2002 I've installed a new addition to the site today. It's a search engine! Woohoo! It's localised to just this server, but it'll be great for helping furs find their way around FurryICQ that much better. :X) Watch for it to spread throughout this site in the coming weeks and/or days. :X) The shutter liger has shot again! Sunday, December 23, 2001 I've gotten some fresh new big cat photos scanned and posted in the photography section of the site today! If you're the least bit interested, be sure to check it all out! I hope to get some other pics added from my zoo visits through 1998 to 2000 one of these days. There's a few that have been... left out... Feral! 2002 is on the way! Thursday, November 15, 2001 It's that time of year again! Time to roar out to all the folks and let them know that there's another Feral! comin' atch'all. Heheh. Check the site out! WHERE'D THE PURPLE GO??? Tuesday, October 9, 2001 What? Afraid of change or something? ;X) I've given the site a new look today. Been pondering this design for a while, and am surprised I could pull it off, sorta. The only problem is that users of Netscape 4.whatever get a very messed up view of the site. Fortunately, hardly anyone seems to use that browser anymore as it is. :XP I am shocked, however, that the site looks relatively decent to Netscape 6.1 users, with only a couple little flaws showing. Amazing, eh? Most of the testing has been done for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, which should give similar results as version 5.x and possibly 4 as well. Enjoy! :X) I survived Feral! 2001! Sunday, August 26, 2001 With no major mishaps and a LOT of FUN, Feral! 2001 has come and gone. I had a great time, to say the least. Check out my quickie Feral! report on the furry.ca forum! New artwork in progress! Saturday, July 7, 2001 Yay! It's about time! ;X) I've gotten the new image of Senajit, the non anthro tiger, scanned and online now. Do keep in mind that it's still in progress. I still have yet to ink and paint this one, of course. Heheh. The name of the file, for those that care to peek, is Senajit-br-01p.jpg. YES, it's clean! ;X) One full year of S t r i p e y M a n e y ! Tuesday, July 1, 2001 Woohoo! It's now the one year anniversary of me having my own proper domain name! Heheh. Happy b-day stripeymaney.com! ;X) Anyways... I've got some new artwork on the way, so keep an eye on the site and I'll hopefully have it up and ready for everyfur to view sometime in the near future! New computer! Woohoo! New 'net connection! Woohoo! Tuesday, June 5, 2001 Yep! You read me right! Got myself a new PC as of Thursday, May 17th and got the new 'p00ter onto the @Home cable service in town as of the 23rd! Yay! Prrrr... The PC's a P-III 866 MHz with a number of nice features to it. Prrurrr... It's sooooooo NICE having it on cable, too! Speed! Mrr! Fast downloads! Prr! *spooge* Seeing as I do so much web design and whatnot, this'll be a great help for me. I've been long overdue for a new PC, seeing as my old Pentium 133 was about ready to die on me. Aaaaand... Seeing as Photoshop 6 does a way better job of compressing JPEGs than Photoshop 4 ever did, I've gone to the trouble of redoing most of the artwork files on my site here. It'll help you all have quicker downloads, plus save my site provider a fair bit of bandwidth expense in the long run. ;X) Enjoy! Prrr... Toronto's new look! Tuesday, May 1, 2001 The Toronto Furry Home Page has received a MAJOR face lift and update. I doubt you could even recognize it now. ;X) The graphic look, general layout, and most of the content has been changed. I like to think it looks much, much better now! ;X) Back in action! Monday, April 16, 2001 After Snowy, the server admin at furart.org here managed to finish her RL move of both her residence and the location of this server, I've finally gotten editting power back after an outage of about a month and a half! Thanks for getting the web server up and at 'em again, Snowy! Congrats on it, too! ;X) Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a bit of catching up to do... ;X) Enjoy the new resume and F.A.Q. sections here, that I've copied in from Benji's Studio! The painting workshop at Feral! 2001 Monday, December 25, 2000 At Feral! 2001, I will be instructing workshops again this year. One in particular that I'd like to draw attention to is the 'painting' workshop that I'll be leading this coming year. It's a new workshop that we've not offered in previous years, so this is your chance to get involved in one of Feral!'s freshest additions to it's scheduling! I plan on instructing furs in the use of the watercolour medium, but on a more broad basis, I will also be instructing on colour theory and it's applications to most any medium you may choose to use. This workshop could come in very handy for anyfur that wishes to add a new dimension to the finishing of their furry artwork! Don't miss out on Feral!, and ESPECIALLY don't miss out on this educational opportunity. ;X) furry.ca exchange Saturday, December 16, 2000 In addition to the services that I run off both this site and furry.ca there now is a Canadian furry banner exchange that I like to call furry.ca exchange. Check it out. If you are a Canadian fur with a web site, this may help you get some additional traffic to it. :X) f u r r y . c a ! Sunday, December 10, 2000 I am very pleased and PROUD to announce the founding of a new Canadian furry web resource. furry.ca is a new resource site built specifically for those furs who reside in Canada. It is my greatest of wishes that this new project can help unite the furry fans of this great, BIG nation. :X) Feral! 2001 coming right up! Sunday, November 19, 2000 Feral! 2001 is now accepting registrations! If you'd like to attend the furry fandom's premier summer camp and workshop event, follow the link provided, check out all the nifty stuff we have to offer, and sign up! I'd love to see you all there this coming year. Feral! only gets better with age! ;X) Some brand new artwork! Mrrr... Tuesday, September 19, 2000 Lions-br-01.JPG is a new drawing that I've recently completed. It was a gift for my niece upon her christening on Sunday, September 17, 2000, and looks particularly pretty once it was matted and framed and all. This leonine couple is now part of the 'animals of the ark' theme that decorates little Jayme's bedroom. Enjoy the artwork! With some luck, I'll have some more coming along soon... Eek! FurryICQ now has 500 users! Monday, September 4, 2000 FurryICQ, the ICQ Users' List just for furries, has just now hit the 500 user mark! Oh my! Nuvious is the fur responsible for being the 500th fur to be added to this listing, so feel free to congratulate him. ;X) Oh, hey... If you're not on the list already, be sure to join! All you need to be is a furry fan and a user of ICQ! E-mail me at benjamin@stripeymaney.com for more details! (Check out the site too, of course!) CanuckFurryICQ hits the 50 user mark! Friday, August 25, 2000 CanuckFurryICQ, the Canadian Furry ICQ Users' List, has finally hit the 50 user mark! Be sure to take a good look around this listing if you're interested in finding fellow furries throughout Canada! Feral! rocked! Wednesday, August 23, 2000 Naturally, Feral!, the furry summer camp, was a great success yet again this year. Tons of furs had fun, including myself! I suspect that some furs even learned something from the workshops that I had instructed in. ;X) If you'd like to see photos and con reports of this wonderful event, browse around The Feral! Scrapbook and see for yourself what a great time was had by all. New artwork is now completed! Thursday, August 6, 2000 Benjamin-Farley-Miami-Timbavati-br-w.JPG, which is my freshest installment of Feral!-related artwork, is now complete! This will be the cover artwork for the Feral! Survival Guide, AKA the con book, and may find some other uses as well. AND... (This just in...) The covers for the Feral! 2000 Survival Guide will be printed in glorious full COLOUR this year. Mrrr... This work depicts Benjamin the liger (That's me, of course!) instructing Farley the lynx in a drawing class. Miami the horse poses with his acoustic guitar at the campfire side, ready to sing you all a song. Timbavati the white lioness plots the fun times she'll have getting good use out of the wildebeest costume she has in progress. Foam heads can be... good camouflage, don't you think? I'm quite pleased with how the colouring came out for this project, so please do enjoy it as well! :X) New artwork in progress! Thursday, August 3, 2000 Benjamin-Farley-Miami-Timbavati-pencil.JPG is my newest installment for my Feral!-related artwork. This image, once all inked and painted up, will be the cover artwork for the Feral! Survival Guide, AKA the con book, and may find some other uses as well. I'll have the completed work done very, very SOON, so do keep an eye on this site for the late breaking news on it! A New Poem. Tuesday, July 4, 2000 I've written a new poem that you can find in the writing section of my site here. :X) If you'd like to take a peek, it's the one entitled "Liger". Let me know what you think. :X) S t r i p e y M a n e y . c o m ! Saturday, July 1, 2000 Yes, I have a new address now! StripeyManey can now be found at http://www.stripeymaney.com as well as the original address of http://benjamin.furart.org. Both URLs will lead you to the exact same site, though it is now easier to find me on the web by the name of my gallery, StripeyManey! :X) Prrr... Prrrple... Wednesday, June 28, 2000 What's with the purple, you ask? Well, I just happen to like purple, actually. Green's my favorite colour, though purple is very spiffy, too. :X) It's the traditional heraldic colour reserved specifically for royalty, and since I'm such a cool, studly, handsome, regal liger, I think it suits me just fine as well. ;X) A brand new look? Sunday, June 25, 2000 Yep! You have a good eye! ;X) I've just now managed to give my gallery site a whole new look. How do you like it? It's very purple, eh? Mrrr... Well, purple is the heraldic colour reserved for royalty, but I guess it's still good enough for us ligers. ;X) I intend on using this section of the site here as a sort of update board, so if you check in here every so often, you can see the news of what I may have done, or perhaps even some other similar rant-type-things or such... Below is a quote of the initial message that anyfur would see when they happened to hit the previous incarnation of my web site here: StripeyManey serves as the home of the artwork of Benjamin Eren Robinson, also known as Simba, or simply as Benjamin. Yes, that's me, the liger over here. ;X)There you have it. From the liger himself. ;X) |
